InfiNet Wireless Lands 802.16d/802.16e WiMAX Design Win with picoChip

InfiNet Wireless announced today that the company has selected the picoChip software upgradeable WiMAX solution for 802.16d and 802.16e WiMAX system designs. InfiNet, a leading vendor of Broadband Wireless Access equipment in Russia, Eastern Europe, and other key countries of the Emerging Markets, has supplied pre-WiMAX gear for more than 300 carrier-class wireless networks throughout the world. The deal was signed at the Wireless Broadband Forum in Cambridge last month, where both companies were exhibitors.
